Our client is seeking a skilled Fraud Compliance Analyst to support their risk, fraud, and compliance operations. This role involves reviewing flagged identity verification cases, analyzing documentation and behavioral signals, and applying internal guidelines to assess potential fraud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fraud investigation and a strong understanding of identity-related fraud typologies. - This is a part time role and remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual reviews of identity verification cases flagged as high-risk or requiring further investigation.
- Analyze ID documents, biometric comparisons, and metadata (e.g., IP addresses, device identifiers, geolocation signals) to assess fraud risk.
- Apply internal fraud detection protocols and document clear, consistent rationales for each decision.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging fraud tactics such as synthetic identities or document tampering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine fraud detection criteria and share insights.
- Prioritize high-risk queues and contribute to ongoing fraud prevention initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends and anomalies in large datasets.Experience in fraud detection or investigation within financial services, fintech, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of third-party and synthetic identity fraud, account takeover, and other common fraud schemes.
- Familiarity with identity verification tools (e.g., Persona, Socure, Onfido, Veriff, LexisNexis TrueID) is preferred.
- Certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is a plus.
