We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations in our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal functioning of all plant equipment and infrastructure, including boilers, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and production machinery. The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, manage maintenance staff, and drive improvements in safety, uptime, and equipment reliability.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee maintenance of all manufacturing equipment
- Develop and implement a proactive preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
- Lead, supervise, and schedule a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and coordinate timely repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Manage spare parts inventory and work with purchasing to ensure timely availability of critical components.
- Participate in capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members to enhance their skills and ensure high performance.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget and control maintenance-related costs.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; Technical diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of:
- Boilers and steam systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Industrial electrical systems (up to 480V)
- Pumbing and fluid handling systems
- Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage work orders and schedules.
- Experience with CMMS software
- Working knowledge of safety practices, OSHA compliance, and LOTO procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Boiler Operator Certification
- Electrical License or Journeyman Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or equivalent
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, heat, noise, and occasional hazardous conditions.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in elevated or confined spaces.
- May be required to work off-shifts or be on-call during plant emergencies as needed.
