Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our boutique law firm in Cedarhurst, New York. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial litigation, with additional involvement in plaintiff personal injury cases. Working directly with partners in a collaborative environment, you will take on significant case responsibilities and contribute to a diverse range of legal matters.

Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial litigation cases from initial intake through resolution, ensuring thorough preparation and execution.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda with precision and attention to detail.
• Represent clients during depositions, court appearances, and negotiations, while maintaining clear communication.
• Collaborate with partners to develop and implement effective case strategies.
• Assist with plaintiff-side personal injury cases such as auto accidents, trip-and-fall incidents, and limited medical malpractice claims.
• Work closely with paralegals to coordinate discovery and manage case files efficiently.
• Participate in mediations, settlement discussions, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Stay informed on relevant state and federal laws to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar is mandatory.
• Willingness to waive into the Arizona Bar or take the Arizona Bar exam, with firm-covered licensing costs.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting motions, conducting legal research, and courtroom advocacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases with moderate autonomy while maintaining high-quality work.
• Experience in plaintiff personal injury cases is advantageous but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
