About the Role:

The Irrigation Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage for landscaping and agricultural purposes. This position involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of various irrigation systems, ensuring they operate effectively and meet the specific needs of the environment. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to enhance system performance. By monitoring water usage and system efficiency, the Irrigation Technician contributes to sustainable practices and helps conserve water resources. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems related to irrigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in irrigation technology or landscape management.
• Experience with smart irrigation technologies and water management software.
• Knowledge of local water regulations and conservation practices.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and surface irrigation.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify and resolve issues such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
• Adjust and program irrigation controllers to optimize water usage based on weather conditions and plant needs.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Educate clients on proper irrigation practices and water conservation techniques.
