Location: Sisters, Oregon
Pay: $19
Schedule: will vary between 7:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Sunday
Job Summary
We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Deli Clerk to join our grocery retail team in Sisters, OR. This role involves preparing and serving deli products, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package deli items including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches per customer requests and store standards
- Slice and portion deli products using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked deli case with accurate labeling and pricing
- Provide prompt, courteous assistance to customers at the deli counter, answering questions about products and preparation methods
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment
- Monitor inventory and communicate with the deli manager to maintain adequate stock levels
- Operate and maintain deli equipment such as slicers, scales, and refrigeration units
- Support overall cleanliness and organization of the deli department and adjacent areas
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a deli or food service setting preferred
- Familiarity with deli products, preparation techniques, and food safety standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Team-oriented with a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
