Job DescriptionWestern Regional Lighting Specification Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced Regional Specification Sales Manager to lead sales growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and manage an independent sales representative network within a designated territory. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales leader with lighting industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead, train, and support independent sales representatives to maximize performance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, sales partners, and internal teams.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to drive growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Manage account performance, budgets, and sales forecasts.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure long-term account success.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Expanding the customer base through new account acquisition.
  • Growing market share within the assigned territory.
  • Effectively managing budgets and territory performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, including management of an independent sales force.
  • Lighting industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven success developing and executing strategic sales plans.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
  • Residence within the territory is preferred.
