Interior Designer (Full-Time, In-House)

Location: Southport, NC
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office


About the Role

Schiano Development is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our team full-time in our Southport office. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional who is passionate about luxury residential design and has experience working alongside high-end custom home builders and developers.

The ideal candidate will possess a classic, refined design aesthetic, have exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to guide clients through the design and selection process while ensuring a seamless, elevated experience.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop cohesive interior design concepts for luxury custom homes.
  • Assist homeowners with material, finish, fixture, and furnishing selections.
  • Develop design presentations, design boards, color palettes, and specification packages.
  • Coordinate with architects, builders, vendors, and project teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
  • Visit job sites to review progress and address design-related questions.
  • Stay current with luxury residential design trends, products, and innovations.
  • Maintain organized documentation of selections, specifications, and client communications.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury residential interior design.
  • Experience working with custom home builders, luxury home developers, or high-end residential projects required.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Chief Architect, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs.
  • Proficiency in Co-Construct software management
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of residential construction processes and materials.

Important Notes

  • This is an in-office position located in Southport, North Carolina.
  • Remote work is not available.
