$1,000 Sign-on Bonus

$150 on your first paycheck

$350 when you complete your 60-day probationary period

The EMR Coordinator & IT Support Specialist serves as the organization's primary resource for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) administration, training, user support, workflow optimization, and ongoing system education. This position will play a critical role in the implementation, adoption, and continued optimization of the clinic's Electronic Medical Record system while also providing day-to-day IT support for clinic operations.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others learn technology, improving workflows, and ensuring staff have the knowledge and tools needed to effectively utilize the EMR system. This individual will serve as a key liaison between clinic staff, leadership, vendors, and technical support teams to ensure successful EMR implementation, user adoption, and ongoing system success.


Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system training, support, and optimization.
  • Coordinate and conduct EMR onboarding and training for all new hires, ensuring employees understand basic navigation, documentation workflows, scheduling functions, messaging, and role-specific responsibilities within the system.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, security permissions, role assignments, and access levels in accordance with organizational policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist department leaders in ensuring users have appropriate system access based on job responsibilities.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to providers, nursing staff, behavioral health staff, front office personnel, referrals staff, and ancillary departments.
  • Develop and maintain EMR training materials, workflow guides, quick-reference sheets, and educational resources.
  • Coordinate and deliver refresher training sessions and targeted education for workflow changes, system enhancements, and identified training opportunities.
  • Lead communication and training efforts related to EMR updates, new functionality, software releases, and workflow modifications.
  • Assist staff with troubleshooting EMR issues, workflow questions, documentation concerns, and system navigation challenges.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine EMR support requests.
  • Submit, monitor, and coordinate support tickets with EMR vendors and technical support teams.
  • Track recurring issues, identify trends, and recommend solutions to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in EMR implementation, system upgrades, optimization projects, testing activities, and go-live support initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to standardize workflows, improve documentation consistency, and maximize effective use of the EMR platform.
  • Serve as a champion for EMR adoption and continuous improvement across the organization.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in (preferred):
      • Information Technology
      • Health Information Management
      • Health Informatics
      • Computer Information Systems
      • Healthcare Administration
      • Nursing or another healthcare-related field


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required in one or more of the following:
    • Information technology support
    • Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) support
    • Healthcare operations
    • Clinical workflow support
    • Software training and end-user support

Work hours:Full-time, hourly position - In order to maintain full-time status, a minimum of 30 hours per week on average are required, though 36 to 40 hours a week will be expected for this position. Hours are subject to change. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday. Current need for this position is Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm. Although this will be the typical schedule, this position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Saturday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
