Job Description
As a Security Officer - Port Patrol Driver in Cantonment, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while documenting observations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical manufacturing location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs per site requirements.
- Complete required reports and documentation, including incident reports, shift activity logs, and observations from patrols, and communicate notable activity to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
