Job DescriptionSummary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our growing legal team. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a traditional paralegal with proactive case management, making it ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to manage high volumes of information and deadlines with efficiency.

As the primary liaison between attorneys and clients, the Case Manager will ensure seamless communication, track key deadlines, support attorneys with legal tasks, and help keep case files moving forward. This is a dynamic opportunity with potential for long-term growth based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:Case Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding case updates, document requests, and scheduling

  • Maintain and update case files and key dates in the case management system (e.g., Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther)

  • Track and manage court deadlines, hearings, and important filings

  • Conduct initial client intake and manage onboarding procedures

  • Assist clients in completing necessary forms and gathering required documentation

Paralegal Support

  • Draft standard legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence

  • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including compiling exhibits and organizing binders

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and filings

  • E-file documents with the courts in accordance with local rules and deadlines

  • Review, summarize, and organize discovery, depositions, and medical or legal records

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, case manager, or paralegal in a law firm

  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and Texas state filing systems (or relevant jurisdiction)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software platforms

  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced legal environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language)

  • Experience in family law, civil litigation, or personal injury

  • Notary Public or willingness to become certified
