Position Overview

The Assembler I – Rework is responsible for inspecting and reworking products that have been returned through quality inspection. This role involves precision work with small components, requiring attention to detail, steady hand coordination, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a cleanroom environment.


Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Rework

  • Perform visual inspection of products to identify defects (e.g., splits, debris, imperfections)
  • Rework defective products using hand tools, fixtures, and equipment
  • Use microscopes and magnification tools for detailed inspection

Assembly & Testing

  • Assemble small components through repetitive manual processes
  • Perform basic functional testing as required

Documentation & Packaging

  • Record quantities of inspected and reworked parts
  • Weigh, count, package, and label finished products accurately

Workplace & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols


Required Skills & Qualifications

✔ Ability to read and follow written procedures
✔ Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills
✔ Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies in small parts
✔ Good manual dexterity for repetitive hand movements
✔ Basic communication skills


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 0–6 months of experience (entry-level role)
  • Must be 18 years or older


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for the entire shift
  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Lift and move items up to 20 lbs
  • Perform detailed visual inspections with or without magnification tools


Work Environment

  • Cleanroom environment
  • May involve use of:
    • Solvents
    • Glue
    • Solder
  • Minimal travel required (<5%)
