Join us as a Building Automation Intern and dive into real BAS engineering this summer! You'll get hands-on with HVAC controls, smart building tech, and make a real impact—not just stand on the sidelines.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot BAS issues, perform point-to-point checkout, and validate devices.
- Support programming reviews (Niagara, EBO, Distech, Honeywell)
- Assist with Commissioning systems, analyze trends, and check system performance.
- Update project documentation: IO lists, drawings, sequences, graphics
- Participate in fieldwork: sensor installations, wiring verification and equipment testing.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, HVAC/R, or similar in good academic standing.
- Interest in building systems, controls, or IoT
- Basic HVAC/electrical understanding
- Strong communication and willingness to learn
Details
- The internship will run for 10 weeks from June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026.
- Compensation: $22/hr. (40 hours/week).
- Safety Training: OSHA 30 and SST certification completed pre-program.
- Safety Equipment included plus shoe reimbursement.
- Travel reimbursement will be provided.
- Must be willing to commute to Manhattan.
