PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading Maple Grove facility specializing in manufacturing, electromechanical design support, prototype manufacturing, electronic assembly, and finishing. We’re looking for a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Set-Up Technician to join our dynamic team on 2nd shift. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality electronic assembly and supporting innovative projects that make an impact across industries.
Schedule & Pay:

Training: 1st Shift (Day)

Permanent Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Starting Wage: 22/hour + 1/hr shift differential
What You’ll Do:
As an SMT Set-Up Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing and maintaining SMT machines for production. Your responsibilities include:

Setting up materials and components for SMT machines following engineering documentation.

Maintaining solder paste stencils and monitoring floor stock inventory.

Performing preventative maintenance and cleaning on equipment.

Collaborating with engineers and technicians to set up NPI products.

Conducting X-ray inspections and ensuring quality standards are met.

Loading parts on feeders, magazines, and smart shelves.

Assisting with training and orientation of new employees.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Experience in SMT set-up, operation, and troubleshooting.
-
Ability to read blueprints and follow written/oral instructions.
-
Visual acuity of 20/20 (with or without glasses) and color vision.
-
Ability to work with chemicals and in warm environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience programming SMT equipment.
-
J-STD & IPC-610 Certification (or ability to obtain).

Pay Details: 22.00 to 23.00 per hour
