Typical Responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration: Setting up new network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshooting:
  Diagnosing connectivity, wireless, or hardware issues to minimize downtime
  .
• Maintenance & Security: Performing regular updates, backups, and implementing security measures against unauthorized access.
• Support: Assisting employees with IT issues, often providing on-site or remote technical support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network cabling (e.g., Cat5/6).
• Certifications: Often preferred over degrees, including CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
• Education: An associate degree in computer science or IT is common, though not always required if certifications and experience are present.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
