Job Summary:


The Financial/Data/Development analyst position under the supervision of the Vice President is responsible for analysis of past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues, expenditures, and capital planning. The Financial analyst will be tasked with very specific projects such as creating financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.


Specific Duties:


  • Provide excellent analytical services. The Financial Analyst's primary role is to analyze the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures. Some of the skills can include a combination of hard skills and soft skills. This position has an emphasis on technology, software, and mathematical skills in addition to analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The Financial Analyst is a problem-solver. This can mean solving financial equations effectively. may need to possess excellent critical-thinking skills that ultimately can aid them when finding the best investments for their company.
  • Prepare and present to ownership the annual operating budgets which include leasing assumptions for the coming year, commissions, tenant and capital improvements, energy costs, life safety systems and all other income and expense categories of the P&L.


Specific Duties Continued:


  • The Financial analyst will be tasked with very specific projects such as creating financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
  • Delegate core IT functions to 3rd party contractors.


Requirements:


1. Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Statistics, or related fields is beneficial but not a requirement. An internship during college years will help secure a full-time financial analyst. position.
  • Construction/Project Management.


2. Software:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Yardi Voyager a plus, and SharePoint.


3. Other:

  • Working knowledge and experience in financial accounting in commercial real estate, financial reporting, and budgeting necessary.
  • Highly organized and skilled with time management.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong customer service/tenant relation skills required.
  • Must have direct team leading experience.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend and implement new technologies.
