About the Role
CyberDomeUSA is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing security team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity while gaining hands-on experience in real-world security operations.
You will support daily security activities, help monitor systems, identify vulnerabilities, and assist in protecting the organizations IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems for potential threats
- Review system logs and investigate suspicious or unusual activity
- Assist in cybersecurity incident response and document findings
- Perform vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts
- Manage user access controls and permissions
- Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and updates
- Support compliance efforts (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Assist in employee security awareness and training initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and policies
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Internship or hands-on experience in cybersecurity
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar
- Experience with SIEM tools or vulnerability scanning platforms
Skills
- Knowledge of common cyber threats (phishing, malware, ransomware)
- Understanding of risk assessment and security best practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
