The Role:

The Systems Manager will serve as a dedicated onsite resource at their assigned iA customer location in St. Johns, FL, a suburb of Jacksonville. The Systems Manager will support the customer’s daily operations and will troubleshoot and assist in the maintenance of iA equipment at the customer’s facility. The Systems Manager will act as a liaison between the customer and iA, providing valuable feedback regarding the system’s performance regularly. For new customer automation systems, the Systems Manager will also assist with the initial installation to ensure the system will meet customer expectations.

Your schedule in this role will be Monday - Friday with the typical hours being 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or Sunday - Thursday with the typical hours being 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor system performance and collaborate with on-site staff to optimize efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Manage and track spare parts inventory in coordination with site maintenance staff.
  • Provide after-hours remote support to customers as needed.
  • Collaborate with iA’s engineering teams and subcontracted vendors to resolve system and component issues.
  • Monitor dispenser and canister activities, identifying common issues and failure points, and communicates findings to iA’s Counting Technology team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, advising customers on system performance, enhancements, and risk prevention strategies.
  • Analyze system data to drive informed decisions and conducts periodic performance reviews with staff.
  • Lead regular site meetings to review equipment status and overall operational performance.
  • Request and manage parts through the proper Return Material Authorization (RMA) process as needed.
  • Partner on software installations, updates, and patches, ensuring proper configuration and functionality at each workstation.
  • Adhere to customer protocols and SOPs for software installations, updates, changes, and backups.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in the automation industry (e.g., robotics, conveyance systems, or other related systems).
  • Proven ability to communicate complex issues clearly, build client confidence, and collaborate cross-functionally with professionalism and tact.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic high voltage troubleshooting skills and proficiency with tools like a multimeter.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Minimum of 1 year of project management experience.
  • Availability to work either Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or Sunday – Thursday, 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule (three weeks per year for critical customer escalations)
  • Willingness to travel up to 12 weeks for initial onboarding and training.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with FANUC robotics.
  • Experience programming industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs).
  • Proficiency in creating and editing SQL queries.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience.

Compensation:

The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $100,198.00 to $135,562.00, though a candidate's base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
