Avint LLC is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Cybersecurity Project Manager for an on-site position in Camp Lejeune, NC. In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives in a mission-focused environment, ensuring the secure implementation and maintenance of enterprise IT and OT systems. You will oversee project timelines, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure alignment with cybersecurity requirements and operational priorities. Responsibilities include coordinating efforts across teams to support system accreditation, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks.
Location: 100% on-site in Camp Lejeune, NC.
- Proven ability to oversee and coordinate projects involving Nutanix Hyperconverged virtual environments, supporting regional FRCS monitoring solutions.
- Experience managing the deployment lifecycle of OT cybersecurity platforms, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination for Central Store, Site Store, and Sensor installations.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments to lead projects involving system integration and cybersecurity risk management.
- Familiarity with the Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST V2) to coordinate system accreditation activities and track ATO progress.
- Background in managing cybersecurity initiatives within Department of Defense (DoD) network environments, ensuring compliance with federal standards.
- Ability to engage with facilities and engineering teams to align cybersecurity efforts with operational requirements in high voltage, water/wastewater, and mechanical system environments.
- Working knowledge of network security concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, access controls, authorization profiles) to guide team activities and ensure proper technical direction.
- Experience leading HBSS implementation or compliance efforts, coordinating between cybersecurity teams and endpoint management stakeholders.
- Managed projects supporting Automated Metering systems, ensuring secure deployment and ongoing compliance with operational standards.
- Practical understanding of USMC DEVSECOPS policies and how to apply them across cross-functional teams supporting ICS/OT systems.
- Oversight of ICS-related projects involving platforms such as Metasys, Niagara AX, Honeywell, Trend, Rockwell, and others; coordinated technical and compliance tasks across stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with building automation and SCADA protocols (BACnet/MSTP, LON, High Voltage SCADA, etc.) to manage cybersecurity risk mitigation efforts.
- Led planning and execution of system upgrade projects involving security patches and version control for critical ICS/OT platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in guiding systems through the USMC Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process, including RMF and CNSSI 1253 compliance oversight.
- Experience coordinating the development, tracking, and closure of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) across cybersecurity projects.
- Oversight of DISA STIG implementation efforts across diverse system environments, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- Interpreted and enforced security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and DoDI 8510.01, translating requirements into actionable project tasks and timelines.
- Directed vulnerability and risk assessments in collaboration with cybersecurity analysts and engineering teams to inform executive decision-making.
- Managed the integration and operationalization of Dragos cybersecurity monitoring tools, aligning OT threat detection capabilities with overall project objectives.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of relevant IT/system administration experience supporting virtualized environments, networks, and OT systems.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required.
Certifications:
One or more of the following certifications (or equivalent) are highly desired:
- Cyber Monitoring Services Platform Certified User Certification
- ITIL v4 Foundations
- ICS-VLP Certificate (Courses 210W-01 through 210W-10)
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) Training – USMC specific
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Security+ (Sec+)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Microsoft Certifications (Server, Azure, or related)

The salary range for this position is: $150,000-155,000
