Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to sales in assigned territory.
  • Maintain and use CRM to ensure customer needs, information and concerns are captured.
  • Work to develop employees into the best version of themselves.
  • Unrelenting focus on customer service as a pathway to building branch profitability.
  • Develop territory accounts and call on a routine basis.
  • Expand business (account penetration) at each account.
  • Warm call (cold call) and prospect continuously.
  • Weekly Cold Call sheets to be turned in weekly before sales meeting. (Goal: 10 cold calls, 5 new accounts).
  • Check and reply to emails daily.
  • Carry out new items and target accounts with new ideas, products and services.
  • Customer relations and service are provided by going beyond the customer's expectation.
  • Research and call backs to customers on special order items.
  • Target new construction/operations and identify contract business.
  • Mentor and help train new employees.
  • Assists with managing local inventory and minimizing dead stock.
  • Does not shy away from disgruntled customers, perceiving those situations as opportunities that define our level of service and builds customer retention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Administration:

  • Read and maintain Open Order Reports daily/weekly.
  • Aging reports are used to identify problem areas.
  • Contact customers and work with credit department on collections.
  • Credit memos written promptly and accurately.
  • Review and adjust customer price agreements.
  • Periodic review of accounts and volume to compare with account history.

Customer Service:

  • Oversee the daily maintenance and security of the facility.
  • Resolve elevated customer issues as needed.
  • Focuses on creating strong relationships with the local representatives and supplier community.



Requirements:

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of job relevant experience
  • Proven ability in sales and account management.
  • Previous experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Strong work ethic, drive, and hustle are an absolute requirement
  • Coachable, open to receiving feedback, and able to implement feedback given
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Ability to translate financial reporting to actionable items
  • Experience dealing with elevated customer issues
  • Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Beginning to intermediate computer skills and ability to utilize all Bargreen Ellingson systems with proficiency. Willingness to keep computer skills updated
  • Must possess a valid driver license and maintain an insurable driving record

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working Conditions:

Varies by location. Restaurants, retail store, warehouse, and stock room. Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed inside, but exposure to various environments occur frequently.

Physical Effort:

Frequently sit for long hours, concentrate on data, detail, screen viewing, typing, use of computers and office equipment with fine motor skills. Ability to lift up-to 25 pounds and up-to 75 assisted.

Travel:

Up to 85% in-territory travel.
