The OTR Truck Driver Class A No Touch Freight role is designed for experienced drivers who operate independently handling long-haul, regional, and local routes. This position emphasizes safety compliance, efficient route planning, and maintaining vehicle integrity while focusing on no-touch freight management to ensure timely and secure deliveries. Frequent communication with dispatch and adept time management are essential to meet delivery schedules and maintain high service standards.
Responsibilities
- Transport freight efficiently across long-haul, regional, and local routes
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and compliance standards
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform or coordinate maintenance as needed
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
- Coordinate deliveries and communicate daily with dispatch teams
- Manage no-touch freight by properly handling and securing loads
- Maintain availability for on-call repairs and emergency vehicle maintenance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Class A Commercial Driver
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating large vehicles and managing route navigation
- Strong safety compliance and time management skills
- Effective communication abilities for coordination with dispatch and customers
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with logistics coordination and excellent customer service skills
