Job Summary:
The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This part-time/full-time role supports daily plant operations by ensuring production, office, breakroom, and restroom areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with company standards and safety requirements. This position is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a professional and sanitary workplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, including productions floors, workstations, and common areas
- Clean restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and conference rooms according to established schedules
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Sweep mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors as needed
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as assigned
- Refill supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials
- Safely use and maintain cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with training and SDS guidelines
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervision
- Follow all plant safety rules, PPE requirements, and cleaning procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized janitorial storage area
- Support lean/5S workplace standards
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safe chemical handling
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Education/Previous Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience
- Training will be provided
