Sr. Project Manager/Lead Roadway Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Project Manager/Lead Roadway Engineer to oversee and manage roadway design projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Texas roadway design engineering, with proven leadership skills to guide a team of engineers and ensure project success within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Utilize design software such as Microstation to create detailed engineering plans and specifications.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Ensure project schedules and budgets are adhered to, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of experience in roadway design and project management.
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microstation and related design software.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Texas Professional Engineering registration, or ability to acquire within 6 months.
- Familiarity with ProjectWise is a plus.
