Salary Range: Based on experience
As an Android App Developer, you will have the opportunity to support OxeFit’s advanced strength training platforms by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality and visually appealing Android applications.
Essential Functions:
- Code, test, implement, and assist in the design of inhouse software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements
- Manage projects from concept to deployment to ensure high standards of performance, reliability, and usability
- Contribute ideas and help to refine use cases and acceptance criteria
- Evaluate new libraries, frameworks, and services for suitability
- Participate in agile development such as stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with backend developers and designers to integrate APIs and data sources for seamless communication between the Android apps and servers
- Continuously optimize application performance and responsiveness by keeping up-to-date with with the latest industry trends
- Maintain critical problem-solving skills by troubleshooting and ideating innovative solutions to technical issues and/or bugs
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with native app development using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Gradle, and Android Studio in an agile environment.
- 5+ years of experience of professional software development
- Solid understanding of Android Studio and the Android SDK
- Knowledge of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM, MVP, etc.)
- Participated in the development and release of at least 1 publicly available app to Google Play using automated tooling like Jenkins, Gradle, and Google Developer APIs
- Working knowledge of RESTful services
