We are looking for a hands-on Automotive Technician who enjoys working beyond traditional dealership repair work. In this role, you’ll support vehicle certification, emissions testing, and compliance programs that ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
Vehicle Testing & Compliance Support
- Perform detailed vehicle inspections
- Prepare vehicles for emissions lab testing
- Install instrumentation for testing programs
- Support certification and compliance projects
- Assist with C/D audits and special testing (High Altitude, Chino testing, etc.)
- Deliver vehicles to EPA and testing facilities
Mechanical & Technical Work
- Diagnose and perform routine technician tasks
- Remove & Replace (R&R) emission-related components
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance
- Complete minor fabrication work as needed
- Maintain IUVP loaner fleet vehicles
Logistics & Coordination
- Prepare vehicles for shipment
- Support vehicle test trips and compliance programs
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of hands-on automotive diagnostic & repair experience
- ASE Certification or State of Michigan Automotive Certification
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles (preferred)
- Dealership experience (a plus)
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service experience preferred (1+ year)
