Job Overview
We’re seeking a dependable and reliable skilled Maintenance Technician with experience to support the upkeep of our church campus. This hands-on role includes a wide range of general maintenance duties and event support. No degree or license is required—just solid experience, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Must be flexible for emergency repair situations on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings during church services.
Duties
- Changing air conditioning filters
- Replacing or repairing light fixtures and ceiling tiles
- Light plumbing tasks: unclogging sinks/toilets, replacing sink/toilet parts (e.g., flappers, handles, gaskets)
- Minor electrical fixes such as replacing ballasts and wall plates
- Interior painting and drywall patching/repairs
- Assist with basic HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Help with event setup and teardown (tables, chairs, AV equipment)
- Coordinate with outside contractors for licensed or specialized work
- Maintain organized and clean work/storage areas
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and facility issues
- Communicate regularly with the head custodian and leadership staff
Qualifications:
- Honest, dependable, and punctual
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, and light electrical work
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Physically able to lift, bend, and perform daily manual tasks
- Comfortable working in a faith-based environment
- No formal degree or trade license required
- Flexible for on call on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings
- Background check and drug screen required
- Monday -Friday 8am-5pm
