Now Hiring - Overnight Maintenance Mechanics in Longmont, CO - $42/hour
Direct Hire Opportunity!
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support preventative and corrective maintenance across all plant equipment, including conveyor, processing, and packaging systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, reliable operations within a GMP food manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment performance, food safety, and regulatory compliance at all times.
The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and hands-on experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including work orders, inspections, and lubrication activities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace processing and packaging equipment to minimize downtime
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems, including belts, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical drives
- Troubleshoot and support pneumatic systems such as air cylinders, valves, diverters, and hoses
- Complete equipment changeovers, startups, shutdowns, and line clearances
- Support sanitation and equipment readiness activities to meet food safety requirements
- Accurately document maintenance activities using computer-based systems
- Interpret and work from blueprints, mechanical drawings, manuals, and work instructions
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, GMP, and safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Experience working with conveyors and packaging equipment
- Comfortable reading and following work orders, SOPs, GMPs, and technical documentation
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a regulated manufacturing setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- (2+ years considered with food manufacturing experience)
- Prior experience in a GMP or food manufacturing environment
- Exposure to:
- PLC troubleshooting
- Welding and fabrication
- Hydraulics
- Strong documentation and computer skills (CMMS or similar systems)

Work Schedule & Environment
- 2-2-3 rotating schedule
- Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Initial training on first shift for approximately 60 days
- Climate-controlled, newly built facility with advanced equipment
