We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, accounts payable, general accounting activities, and cost analysis projects. This role works closely with the Finance team to ensure payroll and financial transactions are processed accurately, records are maintained properly, and costing data is organized to support business decisions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time.
· Review and maintain payroll records, changes, and supporting documentation.
· Respond to payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
· Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, ACH payments, checks, and employee expense reimbursements.
· Review financial documents for accuracy, approvals, and proper coding.
· Maintain accounts payable, vendor, payroll, and other financial records.
· Assist with journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, month-end close activities, and audit support.
· Support cost analysis activities by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to materials, labor, operational expenses, and product costing.
· Help track production costs, identify trends, and support pricing, budgeting, and cost control efforts.
· Provide general support to the Finance team and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
· 2–5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, accounts payable, or a related finance role.
· Experience using payroll systems such as ADP preferred.
· Basic understanding of accounting principles, payroll processes, and general ledger activity.
· Exposure to cost analysis, product costing, or manufacturing-related costing preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software.
· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Education and Experience
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
