ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize Building Envelope is seeking an experienced attorney for an outstanding in-house opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. The Duro-Last division encompasses a variety of products, from commercial roofing materials and products to commercial flooring (Protect-All Flooring at Oscoda Plastics) coatings and sealants. OX Engineered specializes in high-performance, eco-friendly structural sheathing, insulation, and weatherization products for residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide strategic direction and legal advice for the full spectrum of corporate and operations support required by the company. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Primary support for contract drafting for sales, procurement, CapEx and IT functions.
- Legal support and management for warranty claims.
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to identify and analyze legal and commercial risks related to various marketing matters, including evaluating marketing materials for all company products.
- Draft, review, analyze and negotiate agreements, memoranda and other legal documents to which the company intends to become a party across a wide variety of categories.
- Establish, manage and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of corporate clients in different areas of the company, including human resources, sales, manufacturing, and marketing.
- Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company's business in order to identify trends and formulate appropriate legal advice, structures and strategies.
- Retain, evaluate and effectively manage external legal counsel supporting corporate and transactional matters in order to maximize the quality of representation and remain within budget.
- Independently handle and keep track of multiple projects for the company. Utilize legal contract and litigation management system to track all legal matters.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Juris Doctorate degree with superior academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
Required Work Experience: At least 10 years of law firm or in-house experience with transactional and corporate legal experience.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

- Strategic business partner with demonstrated ability to impact, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to see around the corner through understanding of and familiarity with the company's business.
- Highly professional, poised, excellent written and verbal communication skills and executive presence with law firm and in-house experience.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
