Job DescriptionTechnical Services Specialist - Level 1 Associate (IT Business Systems Analyst)Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled, technical-minded IT Business Systems Analyst to provide comprehensive services and support for their Corporate Business Units (CBUs) line of business applications. This position applies diversified technical knowledge and practices to broad assignments across multiple fields, working with both front-end and back-end systems. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, enabling effective maintenance and support of applications critical to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between Corporate Business Units and IT, facilitating communication and support
- Acknowledge, evaluate, and resolve service tickets within SLA agreements
- Provide first-tier functional and technical support to end users
- Support key applications while working with vendors and business stakeholders
- Execute SQL scripts for data management and troubleshooting
- Understand and analyze applications and environment logs
- Administer Windows servers and support on-premises Windows and Linux-based applications
- Assist with cloud solutions maintenance and migrations
- Analyze business processes and identify technology opportunities to reduce operational and licensing costs
- Design and implement IT solutions to meet customer needs and business goals
- Plan and develop technical projects with unique or complex requirements
- Apply advanced analytical skills to decompose work into manageable value-based units
- Identify interdependencies and functional gaps in business processes
- Contribute to application QA testing process and support end users
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Support cutover planning and change management processes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and SOX controls
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 0-5 years of experience applying diversified knowledge of technical principles and practices
- Strong understanding of business processes and practices related to corporate business units
- Exemplary problem-solving skills, especially for complex technical and functional issues
- Experience supporting applications with SSO integration
- Expert level proficiency in Windows OS and Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Windows infrastructure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Oracle, and MS SQL
- Understanding of computer architecture aspects including databases, ETLs, applications, network infrastructure, and firewalls
- Strong attention to detail, highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow
- Data analytics and dashboarding skills (Power BI and MS Power Apps)
- Strong test management skills (planning, execution, oversight)
- Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance controls experience
- Agile working experience
- Experience with cybersecurity applications and security stack
- Experience creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
