Job Description
Job Description
PAY RATE IN THIS AD DOES NOT REFLECT REAL PAY. PAY IS DISCUSSED BASED ON EXPERIENCE
We are hiring an experienced in-house mechanic specializing in High Pressure Processing (HPP) systems to support a high-throughput food manufacturing environment. This is a long-term, stable role with industry-leading compensation, modern equipment, and strong operational support.
If you have a proven background maintaining and troubleshooting HPP equipment and supporting uptime in a production facility, we want to speak with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HPP systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Execute preventive maintenance programs and document all maintenance activity (CMMS or equivalent).
- Diagnose root cause of downtime events and implement durable corrective actions.
- Support system performance: seals, intensifiers, valves, pumps, controls, sensors, safety interlocks, and utilities interfaces.
- Coordinate parts management, rebuild schedules, and maintenance planning to maximize uptime.
- Partner with production/quality teams to ensure safe, compliant operation.
- Support equipment vendor communications and service visits as needed.
- Participate in on-call coverage for critical systems (rotation as applicable).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HPP equipment in a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, and controls.
- Ability to read schematics, interpret manuals, and use diagnostic tools.
- Proven track record of improving uptime and reliability.
- Comfortable working in food manufacturing or similarly regulated environments (GMP mindset).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with common HPP platforms and supporting systems (utilities integration, high-pressure safety systems, chillers, air, water).
- CMMS experience; strong documentation habits.
- Leadership ability (mentoring junior techs, owning reliability initiatives).
Compensation & Benefits
- Highest pay in the industry for the right candidate (based on experience and HPP depth).
- Relocation assistance available (including out-of-state candidates).
- Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, and stable year-round production.
- Career growth with a facility that treats maintenance as a strategic function, not a cost center.
