SUMMARY

The Casino Shift Supervisor is responsible for Slot Operations on assigned shift. In addition, the Casino Shift Supervisor may be called upon to assist in overall daily operations by supporting all casino teams responsible for Guest Service as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides oversight of Slot Operations on assigned shift.
  • Provides excellent guest service to all external and internal guests in a manner that assures a quality and enjoyable guest experience.
  • Coaches and guides Team Members to meet department goals and maintains a high level of guest service and internal service standards. Motivates Team Members for continuous improvement.
  • Effectively schedules to meet business demands and manage labor costs.
  • Interviews, selects, and trains new Casino Operations Team Members.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Responds to inquiries or complaints from customers. Resolves Guest complaints in a timely and positive manner.
  • Ensures all Team Members are trained on job expectations and performance standards.
  • Maintains accurate and timely performance management documentation including both corrective and positive feedback for all members within Slot Operations.
  • Ensures Team Members are trained, coached and accountable to expectations.
  • Responsible for timely administration of Team Member evaluations.
  • Fosters growth opportunity and identifies challenges with talent.
  • Responsible for ensuring all department procedures are met during daily operations.
  • Reviews and approves appropriate documentation and paperwork for transactions according to regulations.
  • Ensures daily Manager On Duty Report is completed and distributed as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Steps in as a working Supervisor whenever staffing levels or business demands require.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule and flexible to change shifts as needed. This may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with Team Members, vendors and guests.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
  • Assists in all slot moves from installing locks and player tracking to assisting of installing, testing and removal of slot devices.
  • Runs testing, runs reports and completes updates and repairs of accounting system & progressive reports. Understands how to update and ensure all progressives settings, values and reports are correct.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 2 years of related gaming experience required, leadership experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 2-year degree or higher preferred.
  • Excellent Guest Service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to interact and communicate in both group and individual settings. Must be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization on projects and daily needs.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills required.
  • Must be fully competent in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with industry related software.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and act upon documents and reports necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate PGC Gaming License.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. Using hands grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
  • This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
