Make a positive impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based role near Redwood City, CA. Multiple opportunities are available starting at the beginning of the school year to provide valuable coverage and support for students at both elementary and secondary school levels. You’ll collaborate with existing teams, lending your expertise to a diverse caseload while helping manage overflow assessments and service needs. Assignments include both full-year and shorter-term placements, with flexible sites and schedules across the school week—no virtual work is required, and you’ll focus solely on in-person services.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in school settings required; preschool, elementary, or secondary experience a plus
- Strong assessment and documentation skills, with the ability to adapt to changing caseload needs
- Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
- Licensure preferred, but not required by the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language intervention to assigned students (general education and special education)
- Conduct assessments and support eligibility determinations for students with suspected speech/language needs
- Work collaboratively with main SLPs and school teams to address service overloads
- Rotate among assigned school sites, supporting one site per day across the week according to student and staff needs
- Maintain clear records, write progress notes, and participate in team meetings as needed
