About
We are seeking an experienced Attorney with strong commercial arbitration expertise and a concentration in personal injury matters to join our New York practice. This role focuses on defending clients-particularly in high-volume or technology-sector contexts-through arbitration proceedings. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing sophisticated dockets while building client relationships.
Locations: Flexible - Candidate can work out of our NYC, Long Island, or Westchester County offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial arbitration proceedings from inception through resolution, including motions practice, hearings, and any related appeals.
- Defend personal injury claims, with a focus on matters arising in the New York City metropolitan area (including app-based, technology-related, or high-volume fact patterns).
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, such as motions to dismiss and motions to compel arbitration.
- Develop and execute case strategies in close collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff on assigned matters.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key client accounts, contributing to business development and client retention.
- Handle a substantial caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality work product.
Qualifications and Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active admission to the New York State Bar.
- Significant experience in commercial arbitration, with a demonstrated concentration in personal injury defense.
- Strong background in motions practice and advocacy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex, high-volume matters independently and as part of a team.
