Inventory Specialist
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in supporting stockroom operations, inventory control, and material preparation. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials used in production, including specialized compounds and chemicals.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality
- Unpack, label, and store inventory in designated locations
- Maintain organized stockrooms and optimize storage space
- Pick, kit, weigh, and prepare materials according to production requirements
- Perform unit conversions and ratio calculations for material preparation
- Issue materials to production teams in a timely manner
- Process inventory transactions within ERP systems (receipts, transfers, cycle counts, etc.)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Conduct daily cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy of picked and issued materials
- Support returns and reverse logistics processes
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Perform quality spot checks as needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, including temperature-controlled storage
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of inventory, warehouse, or stockroom experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (any platform; manufacturing systems a plus)
- Basic math skills, including unit conversions and ratio calculations
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (bilingual skills are a plus)
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Must meet applicable work authorization requirements
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including:
- Temperature-controlled storage areas (~50°ree;F)
- Manufacturing floor conditions (may vary in temperature)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and protective footwear
