Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AI & Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This hybrid role requires 2 days in the office and 3 days remote per week. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing AI-driven applications, particularly Google Cloud’s Document AI (DOC AI), which supports the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, ensuring data integrity and optimizing AI solutions for critical state operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and development for AI-driven applications.

Act as a technical lead, guiding developers and ensuring best practices.

Develop and maintain AI/ML models, enhancing automation and efficiency.

Optimize OCR, NLP, and cloud-based AI solutions for processing documents.

Ensure system stability, data integrity, and compliance with SEM/SUITE.

Collaborate with teams to integrate AI and cloud technologies into existing infrastructure.

Participate in on-site interviews at the Lansing office when required.
Required Skills & Experience (3+ Years):

AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn

Natural Language Processing: SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face

OCR tools: Tesseract, Google Vision API, AWS Textract

Cloud Computing: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure AI

Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, C++

Data Processing: SQL, R, Pandas

Microservices & API Development: RESTful APIs, webhooks

Frontend Development: Angular/React JS, JavaScript frameworks

Agile Methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Google Cloud Functions, App Engine, Firestore

Knowledge of JBOSS Enterprise SOA, Workflow, and CMMI Level 3 practices

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
