Under the direction of the Director of Property Management, the Property Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and compliance of a portfolio of communities managed by Caritas Management Corporation. This role ensures adherence to Caritas policies, regulatory standards, and ownership goals while providing strong leadership to on-site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site staff and ensure high standards in operations, maintenance, resident services, and compliance
- Prepare and manage budgets, review financial performance, and coordinate with the Accounting team
- Conduct site inspections, develop maintenance plans, and ensure ADA and safety compliance
- Lead training, hiring, and performance evaluations of property staff
- Oversee occupancy strategies, marketing plans, and leasing in compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, regulatory agencies (HUD, TCAC, CHFA, etc.), and community partners
- Ensure proper documentation, resident file compliance, and timely reporting
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in affordable housing
- Minimum 4 years in property management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of HUD, Tax Credit, and other affordable housing programs
- Skilled in budgeting, planning, staff development, and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of property management software a plus
