Job Description

Job DescriptionServiceNow Program ManagerJob OverviewLocation: New York City, New York (Mainly Remote but will need to come into NYC office 2 times a month)Employment Type: 1099, W2Candidate Pay Rate: $89.6Experience : 4-5 yearsAbout the Role

  • Stop here if you are looking for a high-level portfolio governance role. This is not that job. This is a Contract ServiceNow Program Manager role mainly remote but requires 2 visits to the NYC office per month. The role involves rolling back enhancements to the 'out of the box' mode of ServiceNow SPM and managing remotely. The position reports to the E.D. who runs the Governance Reporting Team. We are seeking a hands-on, "boots-on-the-ground" Program Manager to act as the direct extension of our Executive Director—someone who will be the day-to-day execution arm, not someone waiting for instructions..

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day execution of the ServiceNow SPM Module Enhancement project across multiple business and technology teams, including maintaining detailed project plans, RAID logs, and driving daily stand-ups and weekly working groups.

  • Stand up project for realistic execution: project planning, budget tracking, and resource allocation, and working across multiple functions to structure and manage end-to-end project efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategy.

  • Serve as the "eyes and ears" for executive leadership—proactively monitor program health, identify emerging risks and issues, and escalate strategically with recommended solutions, not just problems.

  • Execute weekly project and portfolio status reporting, synthesize complex information into clear, concise updates, and present to senior management and other key stakeholders with confidence.

  • Bridge business and technology teams to lead the rollback initiative, ensuring original business needs that led to customizations are still met through optimized 'out-of-the-box' configurations.

  • Provide indirect oversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party vendors, ensuring alignment and delivery momentum.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive Project/Program Management experience with at least 4-5 years specifically managing programs within the ServiceNow ecosystem, with heavy emphasis on the SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) module.

  • Proven experience working in a banking or financial services environment with deep understanding of trading environments, capital markets, or regulatory reporting.

  • Strong experience in project management methodologies & reporting, strong skills in delivery management, stakeholder management, risk management, and problem-solving—with a track record of hands-on execution (building project plans, leading working groups, managing RAID logs).

  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), must be able to lead meetings, summarize, and articulate key points to provide clear direction and support to stakeholders and team members without reciting a resume.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a "rollback" or "technical debt reduction" initiative within ServiceNow is a significant plus.

  • Any implementation or experience with a global organization is a plus.

  • Understanding of how a PMO functions and how this program fits into broader organizational strategy.
