Coeur Alaska’s Kensington mine comprises an underground, hard-rock gold mine, associated milling facilities and a campsite in the historic Berners Bay Mining District, 45 miles north-northwest of Juneau. The mine is accessed via company transportation including bus rides and a boat ride through Lynn Canal.

About the Job:
The Camp Maintenance Technician position will report to the Surface Superintendent and is responsible for all maintenance activities for surface buildings. Work areas includes, but not limited to, camp housing, bathrooms, kitchen and dinning room, dry, STP, admin building, etc. The schedule for this position is 14 days on at the remote mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 14 days off.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize the daily/weekly work assignments for all maintenance activities.
- Keep equipment spare parts organized, refer to manuals, and files for up to date specifications.
- Conduct outside services work.
- Follow up on any work orders that need completed.
- Conduct equipment repairs, rebuilds, liner jobs, and history on each piece of equipment.
- Help keep the maintenance department in compliance with all Operating Permits and MSHA requirements and attend annual certifications, as required by the Maintenance Planner.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills in basic Plumbing, Carpentry and Electrical Systems.
- Ability to learn and work autonomously.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to assist others, adapt to changing conditions, and proactively solve problems in a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
- Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures, and be able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
- Effective oral and written communication and confidentiality conscious.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

- Preference given to Alaska residents.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance role.
- Surface and Underground mining industry experience a plus.
- Knowledgeable with Oracle EAM Maintenance Management System or similar system.
