Job DescriptionSalary: $20 hourly
Outdoor Dimensions is looking for a Driver to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active throughout the day, and supporting multiple departments by ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily routes (approximately 5100 miles per day) to complete deliveries and pickups
- Load, transport, and unload furniture, signage, and other materials safely and efficiently
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, including up and down stairs when required
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders prior to accepting deliveries
- Notify supervisor of shortages, damages, or discrepancies
- Deliver materials to appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Review purchase orders for overdue or backordered items and communicate updates to Purchasing
- Return completed delivery documentation to Accounts Payable or Purchasing
- Serve as backup support to Purchasing and Subcontracting when needed
- Assist the Sewing Department with grommeting, moving fabric bolts, and packaging flags as needed
- Maintain organized records and documentation related to deliveries
- Attend company and departmental meetings as required
- Demonstrate commitment to company values and professional communication
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid California drivers license required
- Must be insurable under the companys auto insurance policy
- Forklift certification preferred, or ability to be trained
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good verbal communication skills for interaction with vendors, shipping companies, and internal departments
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required
- Prior driving, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and warehouse equipment
Work Environment
- Combination of driving, warehouse, and production environments
- Regular exposure to warehouse noise and moving equipment
Close collaboration with Purchasing, Production, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely movement of materials
