Job Description

As a Facility Technician, you will act as a crucial liaison between end-users, technical staff, and suppliers for equipment, installation, or system. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other associated systems. You will also perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building management, and other installed equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
  • Understand Building Management Systems (BMS), fire/life safety, purified water, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Work off work orders to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Review SOPs for maintenance and manufacturing lines.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Dedicate 60% of your time to maintaining equipment, labs, manufacturing, HVAC, and cleaning/troubleshooting.
  • Spend 30% of your time on handy work and groundskeeping.
  • Allocate 10% of your time to internal meetings, trainings, and day-to-day planning.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a facilities maintenance position.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word).
  • Adaptability and good communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in clean room environments, medical device, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, and manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Experience with CMMS, EPA Universal, or HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems and HVAC with rooftop units.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday with a flexible start time between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, ending at 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
