We are seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, and personable Service Writer to join our team at Dans Cycle, a leading power sports dealership in Hesston. As the Service Writer, you will be the primary point of contact for customers needing service on their motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and other power sports vehicles. You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless service experience while working closely with technicians, parts specialists, and sales staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly, outgoing attitude and assess their service needs.
- Listen to and document customer concerns regarding their power sports vehicles.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of the service process, repair options, and cost estimates.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of power sports vehicles, components, and maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely repairs.
- Coordinate the scheduling of service appointments and manage service workflow.
- Communicate with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on vehicle status and completion timelines.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of parts for repairs.
- Create and maintain service records and invoicing with attention to detail.
- Ensure that all service work is completed to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of power sports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.) and their maintenance and repair processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Highly outgoing, personable, and approachable demeanor.
- Strong team player who works well in a collaborative environment.
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in a service writing, customer service, or power sports dealership role preferred.
- Basic understanding of repair processes, service management software, and dealership operations.
