Job Details:
\n
• Rotating day/night shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays as needed
\n • Acute care setting with 30-bed unit
\n • Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7, RN must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7
\n • Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
\n • Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
\n • Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
\n • Intermittent BIPAP used on unit, no ventilators
\n • Charge RN on the floor with assignment
\n • PCTs available on the unit to support nursing staff
\n • Floating required as needed based on census, with external travelers floated first
\n • Up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
\n • Charting system: EPIC
\n • Scrub color: Navy Blue
\n • No standby or call requirement
\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
\n • Must submit a copy of unexpired driver's license with application
\n • Must be within a 50-mile radius
\n • Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission

The unit is supported by patient care technicians, remote telemetry monitoring, and a dedicated charge nurse structure to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
