Senior Electronics Technician (PCBA) to join a leading Company located in the Centennial, CO surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $40 - $53
**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**
We are seeking a Senior PCBA Technician to support spacecraft avionics development in a prototype-driven environment. This role is highly hands-on and focused on complex PCBA rework and modification, supporting engineering changes, failure analysis, and iterative hardware development.
This is a critical hire due to increased workload and limited internal bandwidth. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently with minimal oversight and demonstrate strong workmanship standards in high-reliability electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced PCBA rework and repair on fully populated circuit boards
- Execute component removal and replacement (SMT, through-hole, BGA)
- Support engineering design updates and prototype iterations
- Conduct failure analysis rework and corrective actions
- Implement modifications such as trace repairs, jumper wires, and capacitance additions
- Perform repeatable rework across small production batches
- Support engineering development units (EDUs) and prototype assemblies
- Follow detailed work instructions and maintain high-quality documentation standards
What This Role Is Not
- Not a production or assembly line role
- No high-volume manufacturing
- Limited exposure to high-voltage or high-power systems
Required Qualifications
- IPC J-STD-001 (Space / Hi-Rel Addendum) – Required
- Strong experience with PCBA rework in high-reliability environments
- Proficiency with SMT and through-hole components
- Ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail
- Experience working from engineering documentation and rework instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-7711/7721 (Rework & Repair)
- IPC-A-610 (Space Addendum)
- Familiarity with NASA workmanship standards (8739.x)
- Experience with BGA rework (machine-based preferred)
- Exposure to wire harness assembly(IPC/WHMA-A-620)

- Micro-D, D-Sub, circular connectors (e.g., 38999)
- Cable prep, crimping, and termination
Work Environment
- Prototype-focused, engineering-driven environment
- Work performed on spacecraft avionics hardware
- Standard spacecraft bus voltages (~28–32V)
- Collaborative team with engineering, manufacturing, and quality
