Job Description

CONTROLLER – CONSRUCTION INDUSTRY

Controller will oversee all accounting functions including; WIP analysis; job costing; in-house payroll and tax payments for 3 states; business insurance negotiations and audits; and benefit package negotiation, maintenance and payments. This position is a hands on Controller position and requires a combination of organization, focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to dig into the details when needed.

This full-time position reports directly to the President of the company and to work with the company CPA firm and bank to maintain accurate and timely records. This company is a strong family company that has been in existence for 56 years and is looking for a team player who understands and embraces family dynamics in business.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

· At least four years of previous construction/subcontractor accounting experience

· Must have extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and show meticulous attention to detail.

· College degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.

· Strong working knowledge of Sage 100 or other accounting software and must be able to use Excel and Word with ease.
