- Must live near or relocate to New Hampton, IA, or surrounding area -
Precision of New Hampton is looking for a new Help Desk Associate for our office and manufacturer area. This role will consist of assisting in day-to-day operations at Precision, including but not limited to; Printer Support, Remote Desktop Support, VoIP support, Minor Network Support, Desktop Support, and Peripheral support.
Responsibilities

Provide desktop support for our CSRs running Windows 10 & 11

Supporting a wide range of printer hardware, networked and tethered

Working on, and figuring out PC hardware issues

Computer Imaging for new employees

Communicating with employees on issues they may be having, or things they may need

Diagnosing minor network issues

Fixing and maintaining peripheral hardware issues, as well as VoIP support for our desk phones

Assisting the IT Manager when needed
Requirements
-
At least one year of experience in a help desk/desktop support role
-
Windows Administration
-
Active Directory/SMB
-
Basic understanding of networks (DHCP, DNS)
-
Some experience with remote desktop tools (Preferably ConnectWise and/or RDP)
-
Experienced with computer hardware and troubleshooting
-
Comfort with communicating with our third party partners for aiding in technical assistance
Nice-to-haves
-
Linux Administration (Debian/Ubuntu)

Knowledge and experience with Proxmox and PBS (or tools like KVM/QEMU)
-
Two-year (associates) degree in Information Technology

Understanding and programming desk phones (Yealink/Polycom)
-
Experience with Python for scripting/automating
-
Understanding databases such as MySQL/Postgres
-
Experience with the Ansible/AWX platform
-
Zabbix Dashboard and SNMP understanding
-
Certifications such as a CompTIA A+ (Or similar) are always a plus!
