About Us
Lowcountry Technologies is a full‐service Managed Services Provider based in Rincon, GA. We deliver tailored, white‐glove IT and low‐voltage solutions that empower businesses to thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Travel nationwide—by car or air—Monday–Friday to customer sites; be home on weekends.
- Install, terminate, test, and label Cat 5e/6, coax, and fiber‐optic cables to industry standards.
- Build out telecom and equipment rooms: rack and mount patch panels, switches, cable management, and enclosures.
- Run cable through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable trays in office, industrial, and data‐center environments—ensuring neat, code‐compliant installs.
- Set up and maintain Access Control systems (card readers, maglocks), CCTV/IP camera systems, and Fire Alarm wiring.
- Configure and commission devices: networked card readers, IP cameras, power supplies, and controllers.
- Use Fluke (or equivalent) certification tools to validate cable performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and site surveys to plan and execute installations.
- Accurately document work orders, materials used, and time via mobile timesheet/app.
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to meet schedules and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of structured cabling experience (or completion of a cable installer apprenticeship).
- Hands‐on experience with copper and fiber terminations (splicing, testing).
- Proficiency with cable certifiers (Fluke/DTX, etc.), punch‐down tools, crimpers, and ladders/scaffolding.
- Experience running and bending EMT conduit for cable routing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel anywhere in the U.S. by car or air.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay plus per diem/travel reimbursement
- Company‐provided vehicle, tools, and paid fuel
- Weekly schedule: Monday–Friday on the road anywhere in the U.S., weekends at home
- Health, dental & vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off & holidays
How to Apply
If you’re a motivated structured‐cabling technician who thrives on travel and wants to be home on the weekends, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your cabling experience.
