Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Work Type: Onsite
Pay: $18.95/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule
Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will support licensed pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is quality-focused, dependable, accountable, and able to stay on task while working effectively as part of a team.
- Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing.
- Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders.
- Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity, including opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product.
- Ensure medications are properly labeled with appropriate instructions for patient use.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dispensing area.
- Conduct regular stock rotation to help prevent medication expiration.
- Maintain accurate and organized medication inventory.
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation related to prescriptions and medications.
- Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous pharmacy experience required
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to select and lift products from shelves and carry them to the order-filling line
- Ability to consistently carry 20–30 lbs. of merchandise short distances
- Ability to carry approximately 15 lbs. of merchandise on an extended basis from the order-filling station to the conveyor
- Ability to walk and stand throughout the entire shift
