Irrigation Technician (Commercial & Residential) – Fort Worth / Arlington
York Landscaping & Irrigation is hiring an experienced Irrigation Technician to service and maintain irrigation systems across commercial and residential properties throughout the DFW Metroplex.
This is a full-time, year-round position focused on quality work, proper diagnostics, and long-term solutions — not rushed jobs or repeat callbacks. If you take pride in doing things right the first time, you’ll fit well here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair commercial irrigation systems
- Troubleshoot controllers, wiring, solenoids, and electrical issues
- Perform valve repairs and hydraulic troubleshooting
- Service backflow assemblies and related components
- Complete system inspections, seasonal startups, and winterizations
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective solutions
- Document work and communicate findings clearly
- Interact professionally with clients and team members
What We’re Looking For
- Irrigation experience required (commercial experience preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route
- Mechanical aptitude (plumbing, electrical, construction, tools)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and customer interaction
- Valid driver’s license
Work Area
Primary routes in Fort Worth and Arlington, with properties throughout the DFW Metroplex.
A Typical Day
Start at the shop, review your route, load parts, and head out.
You’ll spend your day running a structured route — diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and making sure systems are running efficiently.
Some days are focused on inspections and preventative maintenance. Others are problem-solving and repairs. You’ll have the independence to run your route, with clear expectations and support when needed.
