Responsibilities will include basic PCT duties, such as routing personal care, changing linens, vital signs, transport, ambulation, etc. The PCT is an essential part of the care team. The PCT helps support emotional and physical needs of patients. The ideal applicant would demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and ability to multitask. The PCT is a positive role model and promotes teamwork.Required Education:Ability to read, write and do simple math. Ability to follow instructions.Preferred Education:
High School diploma, GED/equivalent
Required Skills:
Good communication skills. Basic computer skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
BLS; Nurses Aid certification, completion of one year formal RN coursework (e.g. one year of AND or junior year of BSN program) or one year of in hospital PCT experiencePreferred Experience:
Previous patient care experience in a hospital or longer term care
