Step into a fulfilling role as a School Psychologist supporting students in a welcoming learning environment near Maple Grove, MN. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact from August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, working up to 15 hours each week across Monday to Friday. You’ll play a crucial role in student growth by providing essential mental health and educational support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold a valid Minnesota School Psychologist license (required for consideration)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Experience conducting assessments, developing interventions, and supporting IEP teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to serve at the designated school site(s) as determined by the district
- Open to candidates who are onsite School Social Workers with appropriate licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ academic and emotional needs
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with educators and families on strategies to maximize student success
- Support crisis intervention and provide direct counseling as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district and state guidelines
